Reproduction rights
A reproduction fee must be paid for making odd copies from books and periodicals, including for purposes other than teaching. Such copies can be made without the prior permission of the author if the fee is paid to the Reproduction Rights Foundation [Stichting Reprorecht]. Institutions pay a lump sum fee to the Foundation so that they can make copies. No reproduction fee has to be paid for copies for one’s own practice, study or use.
