KAAIWO is an informal consultative body for university staff charged with administrative information provision services or administrative automation. SURF supports and participates in these consultations.
KAAIWO was established in 1967 as a periodic informal consultative body. Participants consist of university staff charged with administrative information provision services or administrative automation.
Exchange of knowledge and information
The emphasis is on the informal exchange of information, outside of formal administrative channels. This type of informal exchanges offers many benefits: the potential for collaboration, joint research projects and - if possible and desirable - joint system development.
Participating institutions can achieve considerable cost savings. This can be achieved by learning from each other's experiences, conducting joint research projects and joint system development initiatives. In addition to the organisational aspects of information provision, KAAIWO also focuses on technical and information-related aspects. Both themes are discussed during KAAIWO's regular consultations.
SURF also supports this platform, and takes part in the consultations.
