Knowledge session procurement, architecture and design SURFnet Infinity

Over the past year and a half, we have gone through the tendering process, including market consultation, for a new broker of network equipment for the SURF network. During the proces, we received constructive input from the University of Groningen, University of Twente, Avans Hogeschool, MBO Terra, and Nikhef. These many valuable insights led to a new way of tendering for the SURF network. We would like to continue this way of working together with you, starting during this knowledge session. 

In parallel with the tender for network equipment, SURF has been working on the design and architecture process that will allow us to gradually replace and evolve the current SURFnet8 into SURFnet Infinity. 

To take you through this process, we are hosting this knowledge session with the following two elements:

1. **Knowledge sharing on broker procurement**

Sharing the most valuable insights, lessons learned and tips and tricks around the procurement of the new network equipment. In addition, we hope to hear many more insights from you.

2. **Feedback on the new design and architecture of SURFnet Infinity**

Presentation of the new SURFnet Infinity and its architecture, followed by a discussion of the presented plans with room for feedback.

• 14:00 - 14:15: Walk-in.
   
• 14:15 - 15:15: Presentation and dialogue about the broker tender with lessons learned, tips and tricks.
   
• 15:15 - 15:30: Break.
   
• 15:30 - 16:00: Feedback on new network architecture of SURFnet Infinity.
   
• 16:00 - 16:30: Discussion.
   
• 16:30: Drinks.

Location + online options
The meeting ia planned at SURF, Kantoren Hoog Overborch (Hoog Catharijne), Moreelsepark 48 in Utrecht. It is also possible to participate online via Teams.
