    In the future, the combination of high bandwidth, low latency and public cloud services will allow us to offer higher-quality XR applications on a larger scale. What experience this gives and how the technology is applied can be seen in this setup where VR applications are streamed via WiFi 6 from a local computer ("the edge") and the public cloud.

    TU Delft's XR Zone, together with the Do IoT Fieldlab, has conducted several experiments with 5G, WiFi 6 and XR to explore the opportunities these new technologies offer for education and research.

    Come along to discover and experience a number of XR devices and applications. For example, with a high-resolution setup, to show realistic 3D scenes with interactivity or with a standalone XR headset, which offers more freedom of movement.

    Demo 3 - Delft Hyperloop, the transport of the future

    The hyperloop is a new form of transport. It uses the convenience of trains, with the speed of a plane. It can travel up to 1,000 km/h because the hyperloop floats through a vacuum tube, which ensures that there is no air and no rolling resistance.
