Will you help to write a RDA project proposal?

The National Coordination Point for Research Data Management (LCRDM) is looking for participants for a task group that writes a project proposal and submits it for a call from RDA Europe.

In a short period of time, this task group will draft and submit a project proposal for a call of RDA Europe.  With this call the Research Data Alliance is looking for organisations in Europe to adopt existing RDA recommendations & outputs. Deadline for submitting a project proposal is 4 March 2019.  From a list of available recommendations we’ve selected a nontechnical topic to work out in a LCRDM project proposal. We choose for 23 Things - Libraries for Research Data.  Once the project proposal has been accepted, task group members will be invited to participate in the project, or a new pitch will be launched.

More information

The RDA is an international alliance that focuses on general strategic policy aimed at providing guidelines for the development of (inter)national standards. The RDA consists of a world-wide network of data experts that consolidate RDM efforts at an international level.

A call has been issued to substantiate /translate a number of general strategic policy issues into best practices, user cases and a number of simple projects at research institutions. By submitting a project proposal, we can connect with RDM products in a European/international context. Moreover, it allows the LCRDM to accentuate its profile together with the affiliated institutes and experts as a cooperative organization for RDM in the Netherlands.

Have a look at the PDF/PowerPoint of Mijke Jetten (Radboud University) and the detailed pitch.
