Computational biomedicine
CompBioMed is focussed on the use and development of computational methods for biomedical applications. The cutting edge of computational biomedicine harnesses computer simulations that are conducted on massively powerful supercomputers. The tremendous power of these machines allows larger and more complex biological systems to be simulated, yielding better, more accurate, and more meaningful output. SURF is one of the partners in this European project.

This programme offers access to world-class high performance computing systems to academic and industrial researchers, scientific collaboration with host researchers in any field, and travel and living expenses reimbursed.
Bringing together HPC expertise
EuroCC and CASTIEL build a European network of 33 national high-performance computing (HPC) competence centres, including SURF. The two projects will bridge the existing HPC skills gaps while promoting cooperation and the implementation of best practices.
