SURF monitors developments surrounding CLOUD Act

DECEMBER 2018 - The CLOUD (Clarifying Lawful Overseas Use of Data) Act was adopted on 23 March 2018. This obliges U.S. providers to transfer data of citizens to U.S. authorities upon request, regardless of whether this data is stored inside or outside the U.S. SURF follows this legislation and its consequences.
