What you will learn

The GDPR 4 Data Support training covers the main concepts of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and introduces you to the aspects most relevant to researchers and how to protect personal data in research.

  • There are two physical meetings, approximately four to five weeks apart. Two experienced RDNL coaches will guide you through this step by step.
  • Between the two physical days, you will have the opportunity to study the course content in the online learning environment. Here, you keep in touch with your fellow students and work on your assignments, both individually and in groups. During the second session on location, we ask you to present your work.

The next course is in Dutch and will take place on the following dates:

  • Day 1: Thursday 19 March 2026 (TU Library, Blue Room. Prometheusplein 1, 2628 ZC Delft)
  • Day 2: Tuesday 21 April 2026 (DANS, Anna van Saksenlaan 51, 2593 HW The Hague)

For whom

  • Data supporters within research institutions who want a general overview of the AVG and its compliance in the research context.
  • Data supporters who play a key role as intermediaries between researchers and privacy professionals, such as a privacy officer or data protection officer (FG).
