Collaboration, standardisation and trust
Within the SURF cooperative, we work towards better and more flexible research and education. We strive for safety, autonomy, inclusion and accessibility for students, teachers, researchers, staff and guest users. We support partnerships in education and research. We follow - and where necessary influence - (European) regulations. We translate these and other relevant developments into solutions for our users.
To make systems of different institutions and service providers easily accessible, collaboration, standardisation and trust are indispensable. We offer safe and user-friendly identity and access management solutions that comply with (open) standards, so that your institution can offer access to education and research under its own direction. Scalable and flexible. Linked nationally and internationally, with your identity remaining in the Netherlands.
Within SURF, the institutions collaborate on this infrastructure by:
- sharing vision and expertise on identity and access management
- making agreements on trust, privacy and security
- developing and maintaining solutions for managing identities and access.
