What we offer on publishing
Source systems
For storing, metadating and publishing knowledge products. You can also link these solutions to existing (in-house) systems if required.
Portals
Make knowledge products stored in source systems digitally accessible, findable, visible and reusable via one or more portals:
Publishing tools
Tools to support the publishing and management of materials. These tools work in combination with our solutions, but can also be used independently.
Expertise
SURF and its member institutions share knowledge on certain topics:
Knowledge sharing under the control of institutions
In a world of scattered and highly diverse source systems and portals, SURF offers a range of solutions that enable all institutions to store and publish knowledge outputs. We connect everything, making the content of each source system and repository accessible to all.
Institutions remain in control. You decide – directly or via SURF – which knowledge outputs from your own source systems are shared, when, and with whom. In addition, you can support researchers, lecturers, and support staff with a variety of publishing tools.

Practice-based research in vocational education: from pioneering to professionalising
In only 10 years, teacher-researcher teams (practorates) have become a nationwide phenomenon: the field is professionalising. But VET schools are not research organisations, which presents challenges in areas such as digital infrastructure, funding and the role of research within the organisation. To take the next step, the ball is now in the board's court.
