Collaborating on an ecosystem for flexible education
Students want more freedom in completing their learning pathway, including outside their own institution and internationally. This flexibility requires a transformation towards a learner-centred education system. Interoperability is an important prerequisite for this: organisations and their systems must be able to cooperate and exchange information without restrictions.
Within SURF, institutions work together on this education ecosystem. We develop technical building blocks, applications, platforms and universal standards (such as APIs). We are now working on solutions to:
- make data on educational offers accessible
- enable learners to broadly orientate and register for courses and minors, and enable institutions to provide feedback on achieved results
- enable digital collection and sharing of results and experience.
