SURF participates in various Dutch platforms, research projects and partnerships in the field of IT.  Nationally and internationally. One of SURF's objectives in this regard is to encourage the development of innovative IT services that benefit Dutch researchers.

Npuls

National growth fund programme Npuls

Npuls is a National Growth Fund programme by and for all public vocational education training schools, universities of applied sciences, and research universities in the Netherlands. In Npuls they work together to improve the quality of education, increase the agility of the educational system, and enhance the digital skills of lecturers and learners. In Npuls, SURF works together with four other partners. These are the VET council (MBO Raad), the Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences (VH), Universities of the Netherlands (UNL), and the NRO.

The Netherlands eScience Center is the national knowledge centre for the development and application of research software to advance scientific research. The Netherlands eScience Center is a collaboration between SURF and NWO.

Pica Foundation

The Pica Foundation promotes and stimulates scientific and public information services in the Netherlands. It does so by subsidising projects and activities that transcend the interests of individual libraries and promote cooperation between them. These projects are intended to strengthen the role of the library in the information chain.

Platform for Integrated Safety in Higher Education (IV-HO)

Platform integrale veiligheid hoger onderwijs

Within the Platform for Integrated Safety in Higher Education (IV-HO), institutions in higher education work together to improve safety. IV-HO provides a platform for professionals to share knowledge, exchange experiences and develop and collect tools for an open and safe learning and working environment.
