Save the date! On 10 and 11 November 2026, Amare in The Hague will be fully dedicated to the SURF Onderwijsdagen. For two days, you will meet colleagues from across the education field, exchange experiences and work together on solutions to today's and tomorrow's challenges.

You’ll delve into current topics, practical examples and sessions that help you pinpoint what’s relevant to your institution. You’ll gain new insights, discuss ideas with colleagues and discover how others are tackling the same challenges.

During the day: learning, exploring and setting a direction
During the day, the focus is on content. You’ll attend sessions, discover practical examples and receive tools to translate digital developments into your own teaching practice. This will help you determine more clearly what deserves attention for you, your team or your institution.

Finally: the chance to connect without the clock ticking
During the day, you rush from session to session. The best conversation of the day gets cut short because the next keynote is starting. In the evening, that’s not necessary. You’ll join a select group of peers for dinner, without any rush. No fleeting introductions, just time to discuss how they tackle the same challenges as you.

This is how you turn the SURF Onderwijsdagen into more than just a series of sessions. During the day, you learn, delve deeper and set your course. In the evening, you meet, share inspiration and further build the connections that help advance your educational practice.
Felienne Hermans
Felienne Hermans will open this year’s SURF Onderwijsdagen. She will discuss the importance of social sciences in technology: "When you introduce a new technique, algorithm, or AI application, you’re also making choices about how people work, learn, and interact with each other."
David van Reybrouck
At the SURF Onderwijsdagen, Van Reybrouck will explore the future with us. He will discuss what education can learn from our living environment and history. The past was shaped by deliberate choices made by people who did things differently.
Katinka Polderman
For the SURF Onderwijsdagen, Katinka will create a decision tree to provide a clear answer to the question: "Who does what: AI or me?"
