Workshop

Workshop: The future of collaboration – session 3

In this final workshop in a series of three, we will develop concrete solutions for the digital collaboration environment of the future. We will use futuring as a method to formulate a joint plan based on a shared vision.

In the first session, we considered the context in which we collaborate digitally; this includes both socio-economic and technological developments. In the second session, we formulated a shared vision for digital collaboration: what is needed to be able to collaborate within our own institution and with other institutions?

During this final session, we will determine what is needed to put the previously formulated vision into practice, and we will identify the (strategic) choices we face as a sector and as an institution. The outcomes of these three sessions will be published later this year.

Sign up, join the discussion and contribute your ideas to the future of digital collaboration. The workshops can also be attended independently of one another. Even if you haven’t taken part in the previous two workshops in the series, we warmly invite you to sign up.

Part of the Nextcloud pilot and follow-up sessions

This workshop is part of the Nextcloud pilot, in which we explore the technical and organisational possibilities of an open collaboration environment under our own control within the SURF cooperative for Dutch education and research institutions.

This workshop is the final one in a series of three. In the first two workshops, we were introduced to the methodology of future thinking and formulated a vision for the digital collaboration environment of the future. During this final session, we will identify concrete steps to put this vision into practice.
