DigiTaal: cyber dictionary for education & research
From Attack to Zero trust: way to terminology
From attack to duty of care, from false negative to zero trust and from script kiddie to the University of Harderwijk. This cyber dictionary guides you through the terminology we use in cybersecurity and how we work together in education and research. Useful for both security experts new to the industry and those less familiar with cybersecurity. You can then share knowledge faster, making us more resilient as an industry.
Specific to our sector
The DigiTaal cyber dictionary for education & research contains generic terms from cybersecurity as well as terms specific to the education and research sector. For instance, it contains names of consultations in our sector, specific educational organisations and services, but also universal security protocols, certificates and (ISO) standards. However, it is not an exhaustive reference work.
For the generic cybersecurity terms, we used the cybersecurity dictionary developed by Cyberveilig Nederland in collaboration with ECP, the Platform for the Information Society. SURF experts have supplemented this with the most common sector-specific terms.
