On November 23rd, 2017 the SIG Compute Resources for Life Science Research organizes a seminar to explore the state of the art in using compute resources from within Virtual Research Environments. Participants are presented with results from academic and practical perspectives.

In this seminar you will learn about the existing solutions, the successes and the challenges in the field of Virtual Research Environments (VRE). Together with the audience we will discuss requirements and future directions for VREs in the context of large scale compute resources.
Target audience ranges from end-users to IT managers. For example: bioinformaticians, (data) analists, research data managers, research it managers, system administrators, and everyone interested in large scale computing and VREs.
