From January 2027, eduGenAI, as part of SURF AI, will be available as a sector-wide service for vocational education (mbo), higher professional education (hbo) and university education (wo). That is just the beginning: eduGenAI will only truly become the sector’s own when institutions’ AI initiatives are integrated into it. That is why we are organising this workshop on co-creation.

Who is it for?

Anyone working within an institution who wants to play an active role in developing AI applications in education: (software) developers, lecturers, educationalists, IT specialists, policymakers, project leaders and programme managers. It is precisely this mix of disciplines that makes the session valuable. This workshop is in Dutch.

What will we be doing?

Sharing initiatives: we’ll provide a platform for your AI solution and discuss how it can fit into the eduGenAI ecosystem. This could include a specific integration with your own system, applications for practical training, or the joint development of a model router that automatically selects the most suitable AI model (AutoSelect). Your ideas are welcome!

Exploring collaboration: together, we’ll look at how initiatives can fit into the eduGenAI ecosystem and where institutions can strengthen one another.

Discussing challenges: we’ll also tackle the tricky questions, such as what an initiative needs to succeed and what impact AI has on education and society. In small groups, you’ll share experiences and learn from one another.

The aim of this session

To learn, to be inspired and, on top of that, to translate this into a practical approach together, so that we can jointly determine what is needed and ensure eduGenAI continues to address the issues that matter in practice.

What will you gain from it?

You’ll go home with an understanding of how your initiative can fit into the eduGenAI ecosystem, with new contacts at other institutions, and with concrete ideas to take forward within your own institution. SURF/Npuls will take the knowledge we’ve gathered back with us.
