Rules of play for Security & Privacy Award nomination
  • You may nominate anyone, regardless of position, as long as they work in education and research (a member of SURF). This could be a colleague, someone from another institution - or even yourself!
  • The award is for an individual, not a team. Want to honour a team? Then nominate a key figure on behalf of the team, initiative or organisation in education and research.
  • A professional jury will evaluate all submitted nominations based on the information in the form. So make sure your submission is complete and include relevant links.
  • All nominees will receive a message from SURF, informing them that they have been nominated and asking if they agree with their nomination.

The deadline for submitting a nomination is April 24th 2026.

Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame features the winners of all editions of the Security & Privacy Award. The winner is carefully chosen by a jury consisting of security and privacy professionals. They based their choice on nominations submitted by people working in education and research.
