Security communities SCIPR & SCIRT
SURF has two security communities: SCIPR and SCIRT. Information security officers and privacy officers work together within SCIPR (the SURF Community for Information Security and Privacy). Technical and operational security specialists can turn to SCIRT, the SURF Community of Incident Response Teams. Both communities work closely together.
Security & Privacy Conference
At this two-day conference, you’ll learn all about the latest security and privacy issues, with a focus on technical, policy and legal aspects. It’s also, of course, the perfect event for spending two full days networking with colleagues from other organisations. 
Sign up for cybersecurity training with SURF
Enhance your current knowledge and skills so you are well prepared for cyber threats and crisis situations. You can do this by taking courses and training programmes and participating in exercises focused on incident and crisis management. SURF offers cybersecurity training and exercises designed by and for the education and research sectors, at both individual and institutional levels.

Community for Comprehensive Safety in Higher Education
SURF facilitates the Community for Comprehensive Safety in Higher Education (IV-HO). In this community, security advisers from various institutions work together to improve security. Security in this community extends beyond digital security to include social and physical security. As digital security is often linked to other forms of security, we believe it is important to support our members in this area too.
