More than 100 education and research institutions in the Netherlands work together in the SURF cooperative to fully utilise the opportunities of digitalisation. Our goal: improved and more flexible education and research.

Secure login to cloud services with 1 set of credentials

Via SURFconext, students, instructors, and researchers can log in to cloud services from various providers, simply using their own institutional account. Secure, easy and privacy friendly. In 2019, 157 million people logged in using SURFconext, that's 33% more than in the previous year.

Gaining quick insight into enormous amounts of data, predicting the amount of network traffic at an institution, or tailor-made education for each student: together with our members, researchers and suppliers, we make the most of artificial intelligence.

Working together towards a SURF 2Year Plan 2021-2022

Part of SURF's new governance is that members will be more involved in the Cooperative's strategic direction. On the basis of the sector priorities and the priorities that SURF will draw up itself, we will prepare a 2-year plan 2021-2022 together with the members.
