(Inter)national cooperation in 2022
What (inter)national collaborations did SURF enter into in 2022? The National Growth Fund awarded the Digitalisation Impulse Education programme EUR 560 million in 2022. Furthermore, SURF signed for sustainable digitisation and administrators and CSCs found each other sector-wide in common challenges and differences during the SURF Summit.
Joining forces in education and research
How did we join forces in education and research in 2022? SURF launched the SURFeduhub service. And visitors from education and research met during the SURF Education Days and SURF Research Week. We also look back on one year of SURF Research Access Management.
Research and education innovation
How can we anticipate tomorrow's developments today? To this end, we wrote a vision of online research environments in 2027, for instance. But we also look at innovations that are happening now. Think of the student mobility pilot, which allows students to register for courses across European borders.
Autonomous sector? Direction with members
What are the latest developments in the Dutch education and research sector? Find out more about the changes to privacy agreements for Zoom. And read more about the online seminars on protecting public values, the new requests for computing time on national computing services and about the exploration for direction on study data.
More resilient together against (cyber) threats
There remains a strong need to invest in cybersecurity, as the Cyber Threat Assessment published annually by SURF again showed. The State of the art cybersecurity innovation zone was launched in 2022, as was the Security Expertise Centre. With these and other projects, we as a sector are making ourselves increasingly resilient against cyber threats.
