Apply for a subsidy for a Center for Teaching & Learning

From 2 October, institutions can apply for a subsidy for their own Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) through the DUS-I (Department for execution of subsidies to institutions) website. Institutions have until November 1 to submit. The subsidy scheme is part of the National Growth Fund programme Npuls.

CTL subsidy scheme of Npuls published

From 2 October to 31 October, all publicly funded mbo, hbo and wo institutions have the chance to apply for financial support to set up or expand a Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) in the first round. In a CTL, teachers can go for support in renewing their teaching. Knowledge about educational innovation with ict is shared and exchanged, both locally - between teachers and study programmes - and between institutions and (inter)nationally. The aim of Npuls is for all publicly funded mbo, hbo and wo institutions in the Netherlands to have a CTL by 2031.

Guidance from Npuls

Npuls guides institutions in setting up and developing a CTL and by stimulating knowledge sharing in the CTL community. Participating institutions are encouraged to cooperate and share knowledge and experiences with each other.

Four rounds

All institutions are eligible to be awarded a CTL grant in the following years. The award is made in four rounds through DUS-I. The scheme now published focuses on developing up to 44 CTLs in the first two grant rounds. The first application round is open from 2 to 31 October 2023. The second application round is open from 1 to 31 October 2024.
